If I hear one more network or cable goon refer to Governor Palin's husband as the "first dude" I may projectile vomit. It is lame. I hear it and read it and it just seems so wrong. Maybe we should call the next first lady the "first chick"? I am sure that would fly.

I agree with you that everyone is trying to be cute--why do they need to have a name for the spouse of the vice presidents anyway? How is the mole problem coming? If you would just train your dog, the problem would be a non-issue. I can't believe how advanced Alex is getting--he is not a baby anymore.
I think they call him "first dude" because the title describes both his and her sophistication or rather lack thereof. Guns, hunting from helicopters and believing in abstinance for birth control. Are you kidding me?
